Moradabad: Severe flooding in people city; people forced to use boats to commute

On Sunday morning, Aarti, a resident of Bholenath Colony described how her family is unable to go out because of the flooding and is living in constant fear of insects. «We are living here with the constant fear of water entering our house. There are insects everywhere inside. We can only go out with the help of the boat, and there have been no rescue operations yet,» she said.
According to Mintu, one of the rescuers in Bholenath Colony, the water levels have risen to 7 feet. He further explained how the persistent conditions are forcing people to leave their homes. «There is 7 feet of water here. Several people are leaving because their homes have submerged. I come daily to rescue people. With more rain, both the water and danger levels in the area are rising,» he said.
Earlier, on July 3, visuals showed vehicles stuck on the waterlogged roads in the city, with people facing difficulties commuting from one place to another.
