MotoGP Bharat prepares to kick off at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) this Friday.
While the top racers faced a slight delay due to visa issues, most of them have now arrived at the venue, eager to test the tracks and immerse themselves in the Indian experience. An unexpected drizzle in the afternoon added to the ambiance.
To welcome the riders and their teams, a vibrant dance show was arranged at BIC.
It didn't take long for some of them to join the dancers, setting the stage for a foot-tapping introduction to the three-day festival featuring a total of 20 events.
Friday's schedule primarily consists of practice sessions spanning from 9 am to 5 pm across different categories. The inauguration ceremony will be graced by spiritual leader Sadhguru.
Saturday is reserved for more practice sessions, qualifying races, and the 12-lap Tissot Sprint.
However, the main attraction, including races in Moto3, Moto2, and MotoGP categories, will unfold on Sunday after the warm-up sessions.
This marks a significant moment as India hosts a premier global racing event for the first time since the conclusion of Formula One's brief yet thrilling stint in 2013 due to a tax dispute. The event, organized by Noida-based Fairstreet Sports in collaboration with Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder of MotoGP, promises to be a heart-pounding spectacle featuring 41 teams and 82 riders.
