In March 2024, Tata's Punch achieved a milestone by outselling Maruti's WagonR, with 17,547 units versus 16,368. Surprisingly, Hyundai's Creta ranked second with 16,458 units. This trend continued in April, with Punch selling 19,158 units compared to WagonR's 17,850.
