MS Dhoni, who has led the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to five IPL titles, addressed the meme in a recent video. When asked about the meme, Dhoni said, «I do know, but I don’t know the reason behind it. I’m not sure whether it’s funny, meant to pull my leg, just banter, or a meme. But whatever it is, I think my fans have turned it into something positive for me. That’s what I feel.»
He also spoke about his fans, saying, «I’ve got brilliant fans. I don’t need to speak up or say anything; they’re the ones who step up if someone questions me. I’m just keeping quiet and enjoying my life. I try to play good cricket, and that’s what matters to me.»
Under Dhoni’s leadership, CSK has won the IPL title five times, equaling the record set by the Mumbai Indians. CSK secured their first title in 2010 and won again in 2011, achieving consecutive victories. They continued their success with titles in 2018, 2021, and 2023.
Meanwhile, according to a report from The Times of India, MS Dhoni is set to participate in the next Indian Premier League (IPL) season. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have the option to retain him as an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore, following a reinstated retention rule previously scrapped in 2021.
