Multiples picks Deutsche Bank's Rahul Chawla for new credit biz

Multiples has picked senior Deutsche Bank executive Rahul Chawla as managing director of credit strategy, according to a release on its website.

Chawla was the APAC head of financing for the financial sponsors segment for Deutsche Bank in his previous role.

Multiples is an asset manager that focuses on equity investments but with this development will be entering the credit investing space.

“We are excited to welcome Rahul Chawla to our leadership team”, said Renuka Ramnath, founder, managing director and chief executive officer of Multiples.

“His exceptional track record of building a market-leading structured finance business in the country leveraging his deep industry network and relationships will be invaluable in building this new credit strategy as a scaled and lasting business delivering strong returns for our investors”, said Ramnath.
