Mumbai records low voter turnout despite celebrity presence
Mumbai Voter Turnout: Voting concluded in the 13 Lok Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra. Despite the presence of celebrities at polling booths, Mumbai recorded a relatively low voter turnout.

According to the Election Commission, the turnout percentages recorded by 11:00 PM were as follows:
- Mumbai South: 47.70%
- Mumbai South Central: 51.88%
- Mumbai North: 55.21%
- Mumbai North Central: 51.42%
- Mumbai North East: 53.75%
- Mumbai North West: 53.67%
Several Bollywood celebrities and industrialists made their way to polling booths to cast their votes and encourage Mumbai residents to do the same. Notable figures such as Union Minister Piyush Goyal, industrialist Anil Ambani, and actor Akshay Kumar voted early in the day. Later, film industry stars like Paresh Rawal, Shahid Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rajkumar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, Anupam Kher, and Manoj Bajpayee were seen at various polling stations across the city. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and star batter Suryakumar Yadav also cast their votes, along with expectant parents Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
On the same day, over 59 percent voter turnout was recorded across 49 constituencies in six states and two Union Territories during the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
