Regional political parties in Kashmir have alleged that their workers are being told by the police and security agencies not to step out of home on Monday and their permissions for gatherings have been cancelled in view of the Supreme Court verdict on Article 370.
Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said the authorities have cancelled permission for his programme in Sangrama area on Monday and that his colleagues have been informed that they will not be allowed to move out of their homes on that day.
Another former CM, Mehbooba Mufti expressed concern that workers of different parties, especially that of her People's Democratic Party, are being called and summoned by the respective police stations. This is «as if they know the decision will not be in favour of the people of J&K and that of the country, but it will just further the agenda of BJP», she said.
