The pop star, dressed in white and riding a white horse, opened her set with «16 Carriages» and later brought out surprise guests Shaboozey and Post Malone for a performance of selections from her «Cowboys Carter» album. Her daughter, Blue Ivy, joined her on stage as a backup dancer during a rendition of «Texan Hold ‘Em.» Beyonce concluded her performance with a playful finger gun gesture, prompting some fans on X (formerly Twitter) to joke about potential NFL fines, given the league's recent crackdown on player misconduct.
Prior to the game, Netflix's broadcast experienced technical difficulties. Commentator Kay Adams’ audio cut out, and Mina Kimes disappeared from the screen, replaced by a trailer for «Squid Games» Season 2. Fans voiced their complaints on X, but Netflix reportedly resolved the issues and continued its live stream of the game.
The halftime show was produced by Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment. It is reportedly part of a $60 million, three-project deal between Beyoncé and Netflix. The deal, signed in 2019, included the 2019 concert film documentary -Homecoming: A Film by Beyonce-.
