Narendra Modi attacked the INDIA bloc without directly naming it, and said that the big political formation cannot see any way to do positive politics and that its strategies were against the society and the country.
Taking part in the celebration of 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' after paying floral tribute to Sardar Patel on his birth anniversary, he said, «The season of election is upon the country. Process of election is on across many states and next year Lok Sabha elections will take place.
You must have seen there is a big political formation but it cannot see any means to do positive politics. Unfortunately, this political formation is adopting strategies which are against the society and the country.»
Modi lashed out at the opposition, saying the «political formation» holds its selfish interests beyond the unity of the country.
«They want to achieve their political ends by hurting the integrity of the country. If the country stays alert from them, only then it can achieve its developmental goals,» he added.
Raising the issue of India's security, Modi said the country's internal security has been threatened from several fronts over the last nine years.
«But due to the round-the-clock hard work of the security agencies, the enemies have not been successful in their endeavours.
»People haven't forgotten that period even now when people used to be scared to go to crowded places. The festive crowd, markets and all the places of economic activities used to be targeted under a conspiracy to stall the development of the country," he added.
