Vande Bharat Express, donned in vibrant orange-gray livery, has commenced its journey at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai. This marks the 31st Vande Bharat Express train to be introduced by ICF. A few weeks ago, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw paid a visit to the coach factory, where he was seen inspecting the in-progress orange-themed Vande Bharat Express.
Exclusive photographs of this inspection were shared. Today, Times of India Online brings you exclusive snapshots of the fully assembled orange Vande Bharat Express, as it embarks on its trial run along the test tracks. The Vande Bharat Express, previously recognized for its white and blue aesthetics, has now adopted a striking orange-gray appearance, symbolizing a fresh chapter in the Indian Railways' transformation.
ICF is pioneering this color scheme experiment, initially producing just one set of the orange-gray Vande Bharat Express. Importantly, while the exterior showcases this new vibrant color, no alterations have been made to the train's interiors. The latest batch of Vande Bharat Express trains boasts 25 significant enhancements, and these have all been integrated into the orange-gray variant.
This 8-coach AC chair car train incorporates upgraded safety measures and adjustments to enhance passenger comfort, all based on valuable feedback from commuters. These improvements include an increased reclining angle for seats, optimized cushion hardness, extended footrests for the Executive Chair Car, seats in a pleasing blue hue, deeper washbasins in restrooms to prevent water splashing, and improved accessibility to mobile charging points beneath the seats, among others. The complete list of 25 enhancements can be found here.
