NHL 24 is confirmed for a worldwide release on October 6. Players who opt for the X-Factor Edition will enjoy three days of early access before the 6th, while EA Play Members can access a 10-hour trial from October 3. Traditionally, EA Sports has released new NHL games in October. Last year's NHL 23 was released on October 14 and NHL 22 on October 15, 2021.
Avalanche's Cale Makar, a Stanley Cup champion from the 2021-22 season and Norris Trophy winner, will grace the cover of NHL 24. NHL 23 featured Team Canada's Sarah Nurse and Ducks' Trevor Zegras on its cover.
NHL 24 will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. However, it won't be released for Nintendo Switch or PC. The last NHL game for PC was NHL 09, and for Nintendo consoles, it was NHL 06 on the GameCube.
