According to Huffpost, in his latest Substack newsletter, Nobel laureate Paul Krugman emphasized on the fact that US President Donald Trump's plans for mass deportations and increased tariffs could eventually cause significant economic damage while particularly in industries which are reliant on immigrant labor.
Nobel laureate Paul Krugman gradually noted that the current climate of fear among immigrants could eventually result in many workers staying home or returning to their home countries while causing businesses to lay off valuable employees, asserted Huffpost. Adding onto that, he highlighted that nearly 1,000 arrests were made in a single day while reflecting the aggressive immigration enforcement under the administration of US President Donald Trump.
