Ellen DeGeneres and her spouse Portia de Rossi's decision to relocate to the UK is related to their marital difficulties as they seek a fresh start, according to reports.
The couple left the country after the outcome of the most recent US presidential election. But Ellen DeGeneres's career scandal appears to have put her marriage to Portia de Rossi to the test, leading them to move to freshen things up.
According to a report by Blast, DeGeneres and de Rossi had marital problems prior to moving overseas, but they decided to stick together and defend their union.
The couple reportedly had difficulties after the former host of the Ellen DeGeneres Show was charged with fostering a hostile and racist work environment, according to the Daily Mail. They remained united, though, and thought about making the radical change to freshen things up.
