Titan which imploded during an exploration mission to the historic Titanic shipwreck, OceanGate Expeditions' co-founder, Guillermo Sohnlein has announced his ambitious plans to send people to space. He unveiled his latest venture, «Humans2Venus,» aiming to send people to the enigmatic planet Venus by the year 2050.
The audacious idea was inspired by recent NASA findings, suggesting that human survival might be possible at an altitude of approximately 30 miles above Venus's surface, within a specific part of its atmosphere. While some experts have expressed skepticism about the practicality of colonizing Venus, citing its perilous atmosphere filled with toxic carbon dioxide and sulfuric acid clouds, Sohnlein remains undeterred.
He expressed unwavering confidence in the innovative capabilities of engineers and scientists, believing that they can overcome the manifold challenges associated with space travel and interplanetary colonization. The tragedy involving the Titan, claimed the lives of all five crew members on board, including the company's CEO, Stockton Rush, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, UK businessman Hamish Harding, and submersible captain Paul-Henri Nargeolet.
In the wake of the tragic incident, OceanGate faced criticism and scrutiny, particularly regarding safety practices during risky expeditions. Reports surfaced, indicating that the company had undertaken the mission without third-party approval, prompting questions about their safety protocols.
Nevertheless, Sohnlein emphasized the significance of pushing forward with pioneering developments in order to establish a floating colony above Venus by 2050. Despite the immense loss experienced by the company and the exploration
