Ola Electric has reportedly sold 10,000 electric scooters in just three days after it announced a price cut, according to a report of Moneycontrol.
Ola slashed the prices of S1 X+, S1 Air, and S1 Pro last week.
Ola’s flagship model, the S1 Pro now comes in at Rs 1,30 lakh (ex-showroom) — a significant cut of Rs 17,500. It used to cost Rs 1,47,500 lakh, ex-showroom, earlier.
The S1 Air got a slightly less but still significant cut of Rs 15,000, bringing its new ex-showroom price to Rs 1.05 lakh, compared to its earlier Rs 1.20 lakh sticker price.
The steepest cut was for the Ola S1 X+, the most affordable model in the company’s lineup. A whopping Rs 25,000 price cut has brought down the ex-showroom price of Ola S1X+ from Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 85,000 — lower than many of its ICE competitors.
Meanwhile, Ola Electric has also introduced an 8-year/80,000 km extended battery warranty for its entire product lineup, without any additional charges. Moreover, Ola Electric revealed plans to expand its service network by 50 percent, increasing from the current 414 service centers to approximately 600 centers nationwide by April 2024.
