Pennsylvania community center early Sunday, a shooting occurred, resulting in one fatality and five individuals sustaining injuries, according to police reports.
At approximately 12:35 a.m., authorities received reports of a shooting at the Chevy Chase Community Center in White Township, as confirmed by the Pennsylvania State Police.
In White Township, located about 57 miles northeast of Pittsburgh in Indiana County, six individuals were shot during the incident. Tragically, one victim was declared deceased at the scene.
The surviving victims were promptly transported to Indiana Regional Medical Center in Indiana and UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
At least two of the injured individuals are reported to be in serious condition, as stated by the police.
As of early Sunday, the state police did not have any suspects in custody. The police statement did not provide specific details regarding the potential motive behind the shooting, the number of suspects involved, or whether the suspects were attendees of the private party.
