Narendra Modi, Congress leader reportedly today said that India would have won World Cup final against Australia but because of Panauti they lost the match. Rahul said this while addressing a election rally in Rajasthan's Jalore.
"Ache bhale hamare ladke waha pe World Cup jeet jaate, par panauti harwa diya (our boys were almost winning the World Cup, but the 'bad omen' made them lose)," Rahul Gandhi said without taking any name.
Just before this statement, he was talking about PM Modi in relation to OBC and the caste census.
«In every speech, Narendra Modi used to say that he is an OBC.
Do you remember this?» he asked the crowd. In reply to this, someone from the rally crowd shouted 'Panauti.' Responding to this, Rahul made the reference to Modi amid loud cheers from the crowd.
