A spokesperson for the Association of P2P Lending Platforms confirmed that they have written to the banking regulator about secondary market operations. If the RBI gives clearance, it will offer lenders on P2P platforms an option to sell their outstanding loans midway through the tenor and exit the investment or reinvest the money.
“Secondary is one of the essential features required by the retail lenders and as per the industry, the regulations provide for it; however, the industry is awaiting regulatory clarity and the
