The PTI chairman has been declared guilty of “corrupt practices” in the Toshakhana case by the court, said Dawn, a Pakistan paper. The court also imposed a fine of Pakistani Rs 100,000 on the PTI chief, it added.
Legal experts say a conviction in the case could end Khan's chances of participating in national elections that have to be held before early November, reported Reuters. «It’s absolutely shameful and disgusting how a mockery of law is going on just because the wish is to disqualify and jail Imran Khan,» said his PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ) on Twitter.
