JSW MD and Chairman Sajjan Jindal has declared that his company will gift an MG Windsor car to every Olympic medallist. The industrialist took to social media platform X to make the announcement.
«Delighted to announce that every Olympic medalist from Team India will be gifted an MG Windsor, a remarkable car from JSW MG India! Because our best deserve the best, for their dedication and success!» Jindal wrote on X.
This announcement comes a day after Morris Garages India launched their new electric car- the MG Windsor CUV.
In November 2023, SAIC motors, the China-based company that owns British brand Morris Garages, announced a strategic joint venture with India's JSW group.
On the Summer Olympic front, India has won three medals so far.
Professional shooter Manu Bhaker became the first Indian woman ever to win an Olympic medal in the women's 10 metre air pistol category of the sport. Bhaker's medal count stands at 2 bronze medals so far. She qualified for the 25 metre air pistol event on Friday, and shooter Sarabjot Singh clinched a bronze, too.
Badminton player Swapnil Kusale also won a bronze for India.
