Kennedy, a prominent figure in the anti-vaccine movement, has long propagated controversial views and conspiracy theories about vaccines, which could affect the future of public health policies.
On the morning after the nomination, Pfizer's stock dropped by more than 2%, with a continued slight decline in pre-market trading.

Moderna followed suit with a near 6% decrease in stock value, while AstraZeneca saw a dip of over 1%. Novavax and GlaxoSmithKline, both involved in the production of COVID-19 vaccines, suffered losses of over 7% and 4%, respectively, as mentioned in a report by Forbes.
