CBC releases the trailer for Season 2 of the anthology drama Plan B. The new season features a new cast and a fresh story centered around time travel.
Season 2 introduces an entirely new cast. The story centers on Mia Coleman, a Montreal police officer, and her partner Tyler. They take a lenient approach to a marital dispute involving Paul Whitman. Unfortunately, Paul murders his wife Keri and their two children before killing himself. Mia discovers Plan B, a time-travel agency, and decides to alter the past to prevent the tragedy.
The trailer shows Mia making the decision to change the past after the tragic event. As she attempts to alter history, she realizes how Plan B affects the balance between criminals and victims. She becomes the most effective cop on the force, but the more she tries to change, the deeper she sinks into complications and crises. Her own issues with control and jealousy become apparent.
Plan B Season 2 will premiere on Sunday, August 11 on CBC Gem. SevenOne Studios International holds the international rights to the series. This season is an English-language adaptation of the third season of the original Quebecois French-language series, which premiered on Ici Radio-Canada Télé in 2018.
Jean-François Asselin, co-creator of the original series, serves as director and co-writer with Celeste Parr. Asselin also acts as showrunner and executive producer alongside Louis Morissette.
