During the event, PM Modi released 109 high-yielding, climate-resilient, and biofortified crop varieties, marking a significant milestone in the country's agricultural innovation. He emphasised the growing adoption of natural farming among farmers, highlighting their conscious efforts to reduce pesticide use and their responsibility towards environmental sustainability.
The Prime Minister engaged directly with the farmers, discussing the importance of embracing new seed varieties. He encouraged them to experiment with these new seeds on small sections of their land or at the four corners, and only after seeing satisfactory results, expand their use. This approach, he suggested, could help farmers make informed decisions about incorporating new agricultural practices.
