Narendra Modi will deliver his 10th consecutive Independence Day address from the ramparts of Red Fort on Tuesday. It will be his last before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. PM Modi will be greeted by defence minister Rajnath Singh and other dignitaries at Red Fort. The Prime Minister will inspect the Guard of Honour. PM Modi will then proceed to the ramparts of the Red Fort to unfurl the National Flag. After being unfurled, the Tricolour will receive a ‘Rashtriya Salute’. It is expected that flower petals will be showered at the venue by two Advanced Light Helicopters Mark-III Dhruv of the Indian Air Force. After the showering of flower petals, the Prime Minister will address the Nation around 7.30am.Special Guests This time, 1800 special guests from various walks of life, ranging from Sarpanches of Vibrant Villages, teachers, farmers, and fishermen, have been invited to participate in the Independence Day celebrations at the iconic monument on August 15, 2023. The initiative to invite people from all walks of life, across India, and be a part of the celebrations has been taken by the Government in line with its vision of ‘Jan Bhagidari’.
