Lok Sabha Elections, where the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) aims to retains power for the third straight term. Having faced setback in two state assembly elections, loosing seat to Congress- Himachal Pradesh, and Karnataka, the saffron party has tightened their belts, being led by PM Narendra Modi, Union homes minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president JP Nadda. The latest target- Telangana! Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Telangana on Saturday. PM Modi laid foundation stone for several infrastructure development projects worth around ₹6,100 crore during his visit to the southern state.
PM Modi's visit comes amid a boycott by the ruling BRS in poll-bound Telangana. Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Union Tourism Minister and newly-appointed president of BJP in Telangana G Kishan Reddy, BJP MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar and other leaders were present on the occasion.
Launching a scathing attack on Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao-led Bharat Rashtra Samithi government and the Congress in Telangana, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said the state has been "trapped in the claws of dynastic parties." "Both BRS and Congress are dangerous for people of Telangana..." PM Modi said, adding KCR government is the most "corrupt government." PM Modi visited the state of Telangana for the third time this year. Any one would understand that this is the PM's diligent effort in bolstering BJP's image in Telangana, which goes to vote for the state assembly in another 6 months. BJP had performed well in the last municipal polls, particularly after the BJP's recent defeat in Karnataka.
