Ram temple consecration, according to media reports.
The ritual is part of the 11-day Anusthan that Modi is following for the event.
Modi even slept on the floor during his recent Kerala visit, news wire agency IANS reported recently.
Guest house staff told IANS that even though they had prepared Kerala and north Indian dishes, Modi after reaching the guest house after his roadshow on Tuesday night, first had a tender coconut water drink.
For dinner he just had fruits.
«Even though the guest house had set up a king sized bed for Modi to sleep on, he rolled out his yoga mat and slept on it on the floor. He got up at 4.30 a.m., had a glass of hot water and later engaged in his daily yoga,» the report added.
«Modi, when he left the guest house the next day, thanked the staff for the nice stay he had.
Modi was in the state on Tuesday and Wednesday and first conducted a roadshow in Kochi and the next day attended the wedding of the daughter of actor Suresh Gopi, and visited a Ram temple at Trissur,» the report added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will take part in the rituals, has announced to undertake an 11-day sattvi diet as a part of the ritual ahead of the Pran Pratistha ceremony.
He emphasized the significance of this momentous occasion, stating, «Only 11 days left for the consecration of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
It is my honor to witness this pure, historic moment.» He further explained that during this period, he will be engaging in meditation, reciting religious scriptures, and consuming sattvic food in small quantities. Fasting also holds a crucial role in the preparation for the consecration ceremony, as advised by experts.
