The upcoming book, which centers on the institution's fight for survival, seems to contain additional controversial claims about the Sussexes, including explosive allegations related to the events of September 8, 2022, when the late Queen passed away at Balmoral.
Although the book is scheduled for release at the end of the month, an excerpt has been published by PEOPLE magazine in the U.S., offering insights into the dynamics between Harry, Meghan, King Charles, and Prince William.
Harry kept in dark about Queen's death
The book makes an explosive claim about the Duke of Sussex being kept in the dark about his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth's flailing health. An excerpt from the book alleges Prince Harry was not told about the worsening health condition of the Queen in the hours before her death.
In an extract, which has been shared with PEOPLE, the author writes: «The Sussexes had no idea that Buckingham Palace was already planning for the Queen's final hours and the first days of the monarchy's new era — until the duke's phone started ringing. An unknown number.

According to the published excerpt, Markle encouraged her husband, Prince Harry, to answer a phone call, and he did so «just before it stopped. Scobie said: „Harry hadn’t spoken to his father much that year, but this was not the time for any father-and-son tension.
