Charlotte Simmons (pictured) is set to join from UBS Global Wealth Management, where she has been chief investment officer of its UK wealth management business since 2020.
Simmons will join the company in March after more than two decades at UBS in a variety of roles, most recently as CIO of its UK wealth management business.
During her time at the Swiss firm, she served as a fund and then equity analyst, an equity strategist and more recently as deputy head of its UK investment office, prior to taking on the CIO role for the UK.
Quilter Cheviot expands fund research team with analyst hire
As CIO of Quilter Cheviot, she will be responsible for the firm's investment process, as well as the day-to-day management of the equity, fund and fixed interest research teams. Simmons will join the executive committee and report to CEO Andrew McGlone.
The appointment follows the recent retirement of CIO Gwyther, and the upcoming retirement of chief investment strategist McIntosh, after a combined 53 years of service at the firm and its predecessor businesses.
McIntosh will remain at the firm until the end of March to allow for a detailed handover to Simmons, the firm said.
