According to the PIB release dated January 19, 2023, “The order says, the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on 22nd January, 2024 across India. To enable employees to participate in the celebrations, it has been decided that all Central Government Offices, Central Institutions and Central Industrial Establishments throughout India will be closed for half day till 1430 hours on 22nd January, 2024.”

As per a PTI news report is that, «Public sector banks, insurance companies, financial institutions and regional rural banks will remain closed for half day on January 22 (till 2.30 pm) due to the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.»

Bank branches of private banks in Uttar Pradesh will be closed on January 22, 2024 (Monday). The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has updated its bank holiday matrix, which now states that all banks (including PSU and private banks) in Uttar Pradesh will be closed for the full day. For some private banks, even in Uttrakhand their branches will be shut.
