The Urban Administration and Development Department issued a directive, ordering the closure of slaughterhouses and meat-selling shops as part of the preparations for the Ram Temple consecration.

Rajasthan, following suit, has declared January 22 as a dry day in light of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the Ram temple. In alignment with this, meat shops in the heritage area of Jaipur are also ordered to remain closed on the same day.
Comprehensive Measures in Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh, where the Ram Temple is located, is implementing thorough measures. The entire 84-Kosi Parikrama area near the temple has been designated a 'no liquor zone.' Moreover, a ban on the sale of meat and fish on January 22 has been imposed by the state government.
