RBC Wealth Management is not letting moss grow under its feet in the Western US as it adds another experienced advisor from Merrill to its network.
The firm announced Friday that it has recruited financial advisor John Terrion to its Boulder, Colorado office.
Terrion, who managed $438 million in client assets at Merrill Lynch, brings 26 years of experience to the firm. He will be joined by investment associate Meagan Belford, who supported him in his previous role at the wirehouse.
Terrion, whose career began with a very short stint at Morgan Stanley based on his Brokercheck record with Finra, applies a focus on risk management to his work of creating personalized portfolios that aligned with his clients’ financial and legacy objectives.
“With a focus on delivering a white-glove experience, I’m thrilled to be joining RBC Wealth Management’s Boulder branch,” Terrion said in a statement.
The veteran wirehouse advisor cited his firm’s “extensive resources” as a catalyst to “us to grow our practice and ensure our clients receive the highest level of service.”
Terrion will be operating under the leadership of Dan Ball, the director of the Rocky Mountain at RBC Wealth Management.
“This is a significant win for our Boulder branch,” Ball said. “Having a high-caliber advisor like John join us will greatly enhance our visibility in the Boulder area.”
Terrion’s decision to join RBC marks the second wirehouse breakaway in as many days for the firm as it comes on the heels of a five-advisor team from Morgan Stanley making the leap in Ohio.
Earlier this month, the firm announced it had tapped Marcel TenBerge, a multi-decade industry veteran, to lead its recruitment efforts in the West Coast.
