Television actor Pankit Thakker has opened up about his traumatic experience during the recent terror attack in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir. Thakker, known for his roles in popular TV shows, was in Jammu preparing to embark on a pilgrimage to the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Katra when the attack occurred. The incident, which targeted a bus carrying pilgrims, resulted in the tragic loss of nine lives and injuries to over 40 others.
In an interview with ETimes, Thakker recounted the harrowing moments that led to his decision to return to his hotel instead of continuing his journey. «It took me days to come out from the experience and talk about it. I have seen people in pain and the rush. It was scary,» he shared.
Thakker emphasized the gravity of the situation and expressed his deep sorrow and anger over the violence. «I am deeply saddened and outraged by the recent terror attack in Jammu Reasi. The violence that has been going on in Jammu and Kashmir in the past few days is absolutely shameful. It is disheartening to witness innocent lives being lost and the escalating tensions in the region,» he added.
