Reliance Jio has introduced a budget-friendly 4G phone called 'Jio Bharat' at an affordable price of ₹999. The phone's sales commenced on July 7th, and Reliance Jio aims to eliminate 2G technology from India through the widespread adoption of this device. The Jio Bharat Phone is specifically targeted towards individuals who are unable to afford expensive smartphones but still rely on basic features.
Alongside the phone, Jio has launched an inexpensive mobile plan called the Jio Bharat Mobile Plan. Starting today, approximately one million units of the Jio Bharat Phone are available for purchase. These phones will be offered as part of a beta trial in 6,500 tehsils across the country.

The Jio Bharat Phone comes in two variants: Jio Bharat V2 and Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn. The Jio Bharat V2 is developed by Reliance Jio, while the Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn is a collaboration between Jio and the smartphone company Karbonn.
This partnership with Karbonn has led to the creation of the Jio Bharat K1 Karbonn. Additionally, other smartphone companies have the opportunity to manufacture their own mobile devices using the 'Jio Bharat platform' provided by Jio. The phone is available in two colors, Ash Blue and Solo Black, and comes with a rear camera.
It is equipped with a headphone jack and guarantees high-quality sound. Users can enjoy a 4G connection, enabling them to make UPI payments and watch movies using Jio apps.
