Remake marathon: Three Jaya Bachchan classics, ‘Mili’, ‘Koshish’ & ‘Bawarchi’ to be adapted for modern audience

Jaya Bachchan films will be remade. Three cinematic classics ‘Mili’, ‘Kishish’ and ‘Bawarchi’ will reportedly be remade for the millennial and Gen Z audience. According to anETimes report, the remakes will be jointly produced by filmmakers Anushree Mehta & Abir Sengupta of Jaadugar Films and Sameer Raj Sippy of SRS Productions. In a joint public statement, the trio explained that they wanted to familiarise the current generation with the three classics and hence opted for a remake. “. These are the films we have grown up on and they are the stories that the new generation should also witness; to know our rich cinematic legacy. We endeavour to put our best to live up to the expectations, the responsibility and most importantly remake these films which will touch the audiences hearts far and wide.” The cast and crew of the movies have not been announced yet.
