New, chilling details have emerged from the Renuka Swamy murder case. An autopsy report has revealed that the 33-year-old pharmacist was tortured brutally with electric shocks before being killed. According to an India Today report, there were several bruises on Renuka Swamy’s body. One of his ears was missing and his testicles were ruptured.
He died due to «shock haemorrhage as a result of multiple blunt injuries,» stated the autopsy report. He was also beaten reportedly with wooden clubs.
Renuka was killed by a gang at the behest of Kannada star Darshan. Renuka, who was also a fan of the Majestic star, reportedly invited his ire by sending suggestive messages to Pavithra Gowda, his alleged girlfriend. He blamed Gowda for creating a rift between Darshan and his wife Vijayalakshmi.
Swamy’s remains were discovered near a flyover in Bengaluru on June 9.
During a police interrogation, Darshan and Gowda admitted to having killed Swamy on June 8. The gang claimed they kidnapped him from his hometown in Chitradurga on June 8, following Darshan's orders, and took him to a shed in Bengaluru, where they allegedly tortured and killed him.
The police have gathered bloodstain samples from the security room of the shed where Renuka Swamy was allegedly tortured and killed. They also seized hair strands, the clothes Renuka Swamy wore, and the footwear Darshan and Pavithra wore on the day of the murder.
