Elvis Presley’s daughter Riley Keough has talked about her daughter now, one year after her birth. Opening about her daughter, the actor said that she had welcomed her through surrogacy.

Talking to ‘Vanity Fair’, she said that though she could carry the baby, considering her ill health and autoimmune problem, she thought that surrogacy was the best way forward. She got engaged to Ben Smith Peterson in 2014 and married him one year later.

She welcomed a baby girl last year but kept it a secret for a long time. The couple talked about the birth of their first child in March this year and said that the baby girl was born in 2022. Praising surrogate mothers, Riley Keough said that these women do a selfless job to help other women.

Explaining the name of her daughter, Tupelo Storm, Riley Keough said that her father Elvis Presley was from Tupelo in Mississippi. She said that the other part of the name ‘Storm’ was a homage to his brother Benjamin Storm, who died of suicide in 2020 at the age of 27. Riley Keough said that six months after her daughter was born, her mother, Lisa Marie Presley died of cardiac arrest at the age of 54.
