The Fellowship is designed for leaders with work experience in peace and development. It is awarded to 50 fellowships for master’s degrees and up to 40 for certificate studies at premier universities.
The grant is offered to professionals and graduates studying abroad in one of Rotary’s six areas of focus — the promotion of peace, providing sanitation, hygiene and clean water, saving children and mothers, fighting disease, growing local economies and supporting education.
Eligibility
- Applicants chosen project should have a long-term and sustainable impact on the society
- The project should create a long-term impact in the society and target pressing issue in the community
- Have a minimum expenditure budget of $30,000
- Minimum academic qualification and performance
- Language proficiency
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong speaking skills
- High ethical standards demonstrated in personal, academic, or professional lives
Application Process
- Along with the application for the Rotary Foundation Scholarship- Global Grants, individual applications by the members of the vocational training team and scholars must also be submitted.
- Applicants must provide proof of admission in a university’s graduate-level program or a letter of invitation for conducting postgraduate-level research
- Must intend study in a foreign country.
- Applications regarding travel for vocational training teams, scholars and volunteer travelers must be submitted 90 days before the travel dates.
Selection Process
The Rotary Foundation Global Grants have its own selection committee panel who makes the decision based on the application forms and interview.
