Carolyn Kay, a veteran financial services director and a former Future Fund board member, has been named the next chair of Rothschild Australia
Street Talk understands staff were informed of Kay’s appointment by global head Robert Leitao and Australia chief executive Marshall Baillieu last week. “We look forward to working with Carolyn in her new role and in continuing to expand our Australian business, particularly in assisting with senior client engagement as well in supporting the continual development of our people,” Leitao and Baillieu told staff in an email.

She is well-known on the board scene and holds positions at Scentre, National Australia Bank, Myer Family Investments and the Foreign Investment Review Board. Her term on the Future Fund board expired in April. Kay has worked as a banker and a lawyer at Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan and Linklaters.
