Rupee trades flat at 83.25 against US dollar in early trade

Brent crude futures, the global oil benchmark, fell 0.47% to $91.07 per barrel. In the domestic equity market, the 30-share BSE Sensex was trading 288.25 points, or 0.44%, lower at 65,588.77, while the NSE Nifty declined 86.95 points, or 0.44%, to 19,584.15.
On Wednesday, the Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) net sold Indian shares worth ₹1,831.84 crore, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) net purchased shares to the tune of ₹1,469.50 crore, as per provisional data available on the exchanges.
