Bloomberg reported on Thursday that after cutting 10% of jobs in the early part of this year, Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) is aiming to hire around 3,300 people across various departments.
The publication, citing Salesforce Chief Operating Officer Brian Millham, said the new hires will work in areas such as sales, engineering, and Salesforce's data cloud product.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff reportedly told Bloomberg that they know they «have to hire thousands of people,» with their aim to «grow the company and to continue to achieve great margins.»
In January, Salesforce revealed it would cut 10% of its workforce and close some offices. The company revealed that previous rapid pandemic hiring left it with «too many people.»
Benioff is said to have told Bloomberg he hopes to attract a substantial number of employees who previously worked at Salesforce and moved to other firms.
