Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently lost her father. Joseph Prabhu breathed his last on November 29. The ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ star broke the news through a short but emotional post. Taking to Instagram Stories, she penned, “Until we meet again, Dad.” and added a broken-hearted emoji.
The late Joseph Prabhu was known to be reticent and was not seen in public with his famous daughter. However, an old social media post of his, where he came to Samantha’s defense after her divorce from her ‘Majili’ co-star Naga Chaitanya, is currently going viral.
In 2021, Joseph responded to his daughter Samantha’s divorce from her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya by sharing a heartfelt throwback photo of the couple from their wedding along with an acerbic post that read: “Long, long ago, there was a story. And it doesn’t exist anymore. So, let’s start a new story and a new chapter.”
