Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to be unveiled next month and leaked hands-on images have emerged, offering a glimpse into the device's design changes compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The leaked stills, shared by tipster Ice Universe, reveal key alterations and provide insight into the anticipated features of Samsung’s flagship for 2024.
The images show subtle yet notable design tweaks in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The bottom-facing speaker opening has undergone changes, featuring a sleek, strip-like (pill-shaped) design.
The top edge now hosts two speaker/mic holes instead of the previous singular opening. The smartphone has slimmed down, measuring 8.6 mm in thickness, a reduction from the 8.9 mm of its predecessor. Also, the right side reveals thicker volume rockers and a power button compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
A significant change lies in the material used for the frame, shifting from aluminium to titanium, promising an enhanced overall texture.
The S Pen’s base has been redesigned, flaunting a flatter shape that seamlessly integrates with the phone’s body when housed inside.
Despite these design updates, certain specifications remain unchanged. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch QHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. It is speculated to offer 12 GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB.
The quad rear camera setup includes a 200 MP wide-angle camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom, and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom.
