Ram Temple movement Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that it will be seen as a representation of democratic values, as the country's majority population awaited so long for fulfilment of its religious aspirations.
Speaking in Lok Sabha during a discussion on Ram Temple and the consecration ceremony on January 22, Shah said he wants to speak from his heart and what is in the hearts of Indians.
«January 22 was the beginning of great India...Those who imagine a country without lord Ram do not know our country well and they represent the days of colonialism,» Shah said.
He further said Prime Minister Narendra Modi took all sections of society along on the temple issue and described the Supreme Court verdict on the matter as a reflection of India's secular character to the world.
