SEAL Team is going to conclude its run with seventh season, putting an end to the previously mentioned standalone movie. Although the official release date is yet to be revealed, filming is scheduled to begin in December. The initial production start date in spring or mid-2023 was delayed due to strikes.
The renewal for season 7 was confirmed in January 2023, featuring a total of 10 episodes. Similar to past seasons, the team is expected to handle individual missions, possibly incorporating multi-episode storylines as seen in the sixth season. These storylines shed light on the challenges faced by the team when sent into undisclosed perilous situations.
Personal narratives will also play a significant role, delving into themes, such as growing families, the grieving process, and building trust with new team members. Jason's Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), previously concealed, is likely to be explored further.
Max Thieriot, who played Clay Spencer in season 6, will not return as the character was killed off due to Thieriot's commitment to another series, Fire Country. Despite this, Thieriot remains employed as Fire Country was also renewed.
