Selena Gomez's Instagram profile has removed a post that tagged the superstar's Hulu series «Only Murders in the Building». This was done following accusations from several followers regarding potential violation of SAG-AFTRA strike regulations.
The post seemed to present a video snippet from the comedy show's set. Efforts have been made to contact Gomez's representative by Variety.
However, SAG-AFTRA chose not to provide a statement on the issue.
SAG-AFTRA's guidelines during the strike forbid members from promoting their work through press interviews or social media posts as long as the strike remains ongoing. In the video from the set, Gomez did not speak, nor did she directly urge her followers to watch the show in the caption.
Nevertheless, the mention of the official «Only Murders in the Building» account via a tag led followers to assume that the video was indeed related to the Hulu series. The question of whether this constitutes a breach of the rules was under debate.
A number of Gomez's followers accused her of going against the strike, with one individual describing the post as «insensitive» amid the ongoing labor actions.
