stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, Nakoda Group Of Ind(PP)(19.94%), Narayani Steels(19.92%), Religare(18.96%), IKIO Lighting(18.82%), Envair Electro(17.96%), ETT Ltd(16.51%) and Saboo Sodium(15.08%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 424.9 points down at 75311.06, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 117.25 points down at 22795.9.
In the Nifty50 index, 15 stocks closed in the green, while 35 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Shree Rama News, Deccan Cements, Synthiko Foils, Kretto Syscon and RDB Real Estate Cons hit their fresh 52-week high, while Radhe Developers, Suratwwala Business, Step Two Corp, International Gemmol and Auto Corp Goa touched their new 52-week low in today's trade.
