In the Nifty pack, 16 stocks closed in the green, while 34 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 65.16 points down at 22032.3.
On the BSE, M K Proteins, Adhbhut Infrastructu, Sanmit Infra, Sree Jayalakshmi and Raj Rayon hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Sri KPR Ind, Rodium Realty, Pratiksha Chem, Ganga Papers and Inter Globe Fin touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
