Sidhi district in Madhya Pradesh, a 30-year-old man named Brajesh Prajapati has been accused of raping at least seven tribal girls. He used a voice-changing app to pose as a female teacher and trick the girls into meeting him. Sidhi Superintendent of Police (SP) Ravindra Verma told TOI that one girl went to meet Prajapati with a minor, and he raped both of them. The other six victims are college students aged 19-20 years.
Prajapati, who is unemployed, began his assaults in April this year. The survivors were initially too scared to report the crimes.
