The NSE Nifty index traded 52.25 points up at 22200.15, while BSE Sensex was up 87.0 points at 73030.68 as of 10:39AM(IST)on April 18.
In the Nifty index, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 3.61 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 3.03 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.85 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.67 per cent) were among the top gainers.
