The NSE Nifty index traded 223.31 points down at 22572.6, while BSE Sensex was down 744.81 points at 74566.25 as of 11:18AM(IST)on February 24.
In the Nifty index, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.41 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.69 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.54 per cent) and ITC Ltd.(up 0.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.
